Join us as we transition from day to dusk. Wax on Water is a celebration of the lush Salish Sea—where the warm crackle of vinyl meets the cool breeze of the waterfront.
As the horizon swallows the sun and the tide pulls at the shore, we'll gather on the Tyler Street Plaza and pair the organic warmth of vinyl with the rhythmic pulse of the sea. 
This new event is a collaboration between Port Townsend Main Street and Third Space Collective - featuring DJ Lunch Lady, DJ Ocean Spray, DJ Wanaka, and DJ Dawn Patrol.

About Third Space Collective

Named after the vital social surroundings that foster community, Third Space Collective is founded by four 4 Port Townsend based DJ's who curate an eclectic mix of daytime gatherings and immersive evening events. They believe music should be shared, ideally on a powerful and well tuned sound system, but it shouldn't only exist in dark nightclubs so they bring diverse sounds into accessible community spaces where anyone can connect and celebrate. Their events are intentional, vibrant sanctuaries—free from judgment and fiercely welcoming to all. Whether they're soundtracking a sunny afternoon or a late-night groove, Third Space is a movement centered on collective joy, authentic human connection, and the belief that everyone has a home on the dance floor.

DJ Dawn Patrol

Micah Van Lelyveld, famously known behind the decks as DJ Dawn Patrol, serves up a perpetual golden hour inspired by sun-drenched beaches around the world. Their signature style blends Balearic and soulful sounds with a playful energy that keeps the dance floor loose. 
 
Never one to stay in the lanes, Micah goes by many aliases; such as MagikMarker, Poly Shore and MoneyPit. This creative freedom lets them joyfully pivot from deep club rhythms to eccentric left-field beats and more, without losing their sun-kissed core. But no matter which moniker is on the bill, Micah ensures the BPMs are synched with the SPF and the summer feeling is never far away.

DJ Ocean Spray

 After finding a couple of Hall n Oats tapes that washed up on the beach, he popped one in the Casio and cracked a Mountain Dew. Out spewed a salty remix of “I can’t go for that” and the the irresistible groove™️took hold. Since then dj oceanspray shows up to splash a little effervescence on the dance floor.

Don’t let the hairnet fool you—DJ LunchLady is dishing out more than just cafeteria classics. This beat-slinger has been turning tables and turning heads with a flavor-packed mix of throwback jams, guilty pleasures, and bass-heavy bangers that’ll leave your ears begging for seconds.

Known for his playful style, dance-along enthusiasm, and his signature “Hot Lunch Specials,” DJ LunchLady isn’t just feeding your soul—he’s taking it on a full-blown field trip. Grab your tray and get in line. It’s lunch time.
