Raingardens & Green Spaces
To ensure the historic business districts are welcoming for residents and visitors, PTMS maintains the majority of the rain gardens and planting beds in Uptown and Downtown working with the Parks and Recreation department on beautification of these green spaces.
Flower Basket Maintenance Program
Each summer, Port Townsend’s iconic Hanging Flower Baskets add color, charm, and life to our downtown streets—welcoming visitors and delighting locals every day. These baskets are a small detail that make a big impact on how our community feels and looks.
Winter Lighting
To bring additional light during the dark months, PTMS installs and maintains the beautiful lighting on the trees in Downtown from October until March. In addition, add seasonal lighting to Uptown. In 2026, PTMS added a lighting enhancement feature in Adams Street Park. The whale is the first of what we hope will be many more place based lighting features in the districts.
