Tax Incentive Program

2024 Main Street Tax Incentive Program

The Port Townsend Main Street Program is pleased to offer the opportunity to put your state B&O tax dollars to work here in Port Townsend through the work of our 501c3 nonprofit program. 75% of your donation is returned to you via B&O tax credits in 2025. In addition, your entire contribution may qualify as a 501(c)(3) charitable deduction on your 2023 federal income tax return. We hope that you will consider this unique opportunity.

These funds help us fulfill our program mission: To preserve, promote and enhance the historic business districts.

We provide resources for the historic districts, and implement grants which benefit the districts. Our nonprofit coordinates design projects such as Adams Street Park, the hanging flower basket program, and winter lighting as well as downtown landscaping and maintenance. We promote the historic districts through social media awareness, offer retail promotions and community events and coordinate the Creative District activities  to support our local economy.
