Each summer, Port Townsend’s iconic Hanging Flower Baskets bring vibrant color, charm, and life to our historic districts —welcoming visitors and delighting locals every single day. These beautiful blooms may seem like a small detail, but together they create a powerful first impression, enhance the pedestrian experience, and reflect the pride we take in our town.
Port Townsend Main Street coordinates and purchases the hanging flower baskets from the Port Townsend Garden Center, ensuring high-quality, locally grown arrangements that complement our Downtown & Uptown aesthetic. Our Flower Basket Maintenance Program takes care of the details all season long, including professional installation, watering four days per week from May through September, regular deadheading and fertilizing, and ongoing care to keep each basket looking lush and vibrant.
