Flower Basket Maintenance Program – Port Townsend Main Street Program

Spring is here! It’s time to beautify the streets of Port Townsend with colorful hanging flower baskets. The flower baskets add so much to the beautyof our town, thank you to everyone who participates. The Port Townsend Main Street Program will placethe order for the baskets and take care of the billing for the watering program. Port Townsend GardenCenter will hang the baskets in mid-May. – 2 size options for the baskets: 12″ hanging basket – $59.99 plus tax or 14″ hanging basket – $79.99 plus tax.HD hanger – $29.99 each installed. Baskets will be put out in mid-May. Our Main Street Flower Basket Maintenance Program will bring out the beauty of the baskets through the season -this includes watering 5 days a week, dead heading and fertilizing. Our goal is to have beautiful baskets for the public to enjoy from mid-May through September. From May through September, the Port Townsend Main Street Program works with our local garden center and businesses to beautify the historic districts by caring for 75 -100 hanging flower baskets which are pretty as a picture!

Labor, fuel and equipment costs have been rising steadily and our nonprofit has been underwriting this project to keep the program going.
