    Earth Day Clean Up

    Due to COVID-19, we are postponing our 2020 Earth Day Clean-Up to June 20th, 2020 (subject to change) We would like to thank all our amazing volunteers. 26 helpers came to our Earth Day spring clean up on Saturday, April 20th, 2019. Thanks to our Rhododendron Festival Association royalty helpers, Main St. event helpers, brand new volunteers, board and staff. We worked at Adams Street Park, along Water Street, and on side streets. The Port Townsend Main Street Program Mission: To preserve, promote, and enhance our historic business districts.

    Concerts on the Dock

    Port Townsend Main Street Program’s Concerts on the Dock — Free All-Ages Summer Music Series at Pope Marine Plaza Presented by: Downtown Port Townsend rocks with all-ages free Concerts on the Dock Thursdays July 9th through September 3, 2020 at Pope Marine Park Plaza. Local vendors and beer garden serving Port Townsend Brewing Co., Port Townsend Vineyards, & Local Cider (Eaglemount, Alpenfire or Finnriver) contribute to the festival atmosphere.     Art Wave

    Due to the impacts of COVID-19, Art Wave will be canceled this year. “Art Wave” Student Art in the Stores in Uptown/Downtown   For the month of May, Historic Districts’ merchants are showcasing student artwork, created in the Port Townsend Schools, for “Art Wave!” Over 400 pieces of art installed as part of this promotion. The “Art Wave” exhibit celebrates children’s creative expression through art and is a collaboration with participating Port Townsend businesses.     Design Projects

    The Port Townsend Main Street Design Committee volunteers work to enhance the character of Uptown and Downtown by encouraging a more beautiful and cleaner streetscape and increasing Port Townsend’s pedestrian-friendly appeal. They educate about historic preservation, good design and public amenities. The Port Townsend Main Street Program has a maintenance agreement with the City of Port Townsend for downtown landscaping, bird abatement, and overseeing the care of Adams Street Park, which we adopted in 2004 from the City. Our maintenance worker is also responsible for the care of 100+ hanging flower baskets. We also arrange for the port-o-lettes on Tyler Street and will work…

    The Port Townsend Main Street Economics Committee volunteers strengthen the viability of the historic districts, educate about disaster preparedness and stress resiliency; identify new opportunities for business owners, spur reinvestment through the HUD Loan Fund, help historic districts’ businesses through financial impacts of emergency situations through the LENT Fund, and map the districts’ opportunities through the Port Townsend Main Street Building & Business Inventory.
