PORT TOWNSEND MAIN STREET PROGRAM’S BISTRO TABLES & CHAIRS PROJECT
The nonprofit Port Townsend Main Street Program is teaming up with Give Jefferson to raise funds for more bistro style tables and chairs for the downtown and uptown historic districts to increase the pedestrian-friendliness of Port Townsend. The online campaign to raise these funds runs from Oct. 1–31, 2018. You can designate a donation specifically for this project via the online Give Jefferson online catalog at www.givejefferson.org.
“Main Street Tables and Chairs” are a colorful pedestrian amenity which create community and conversation with movable street furniture. The goal to bring more energy to the Cotton Building Plaza, the Pope Marine Plaza, the Tyler Street Plaza, the Bell Tower Plaza, the Haller Fountain and the new Jefferson Street sidewalk extension with 50 more sets of Emu brand street furniture split between these areas.

Give Jefferson is the United Good Neighbors’ 2018 Annual Campaign – PLUS!
- This year, in addition to the traditional elements of the United Good Neighbors (UGN) campaign – the brochure, workplace giving campaigns and neighborhood outreach – there are some new features:
- UGN is pleased to welcome Jefferson Community Foundation (JCF) as a presenting partner helping to manage the campaign; The public is invited to donate directly to participating nonprofits during the month of October 2018.
- All funding sent to UGN via the brochure and workplace campaigns will remain dedicated to basic service organizations and UGN operations as it has been for over 60 years. This part of the campaign will run from October 1st, 2018 – December 31st, 2018.
