Earth Day SPRING CLEAN-UP, SATURDAY APRIL 20, 2019 — Sweep Sidewalks, Wash Windows, Weed, Tackle a Painting Project, & Spiff up Storefronts
To honor the day, The Port Townsend Main Street Program is planning weeding, painting, clean up, and maintenance projects. Merchants in the historic districts are asked to give special attention to their storefronts, attack sidewalk litter, and fix up planters or order flower baskets for their stores.
Volunteers are invited to help with Earth Day clean-up projects from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Please bring hand tools, gloves, and wear work clothes. RSVP here or call or email us at 360-385-7911 or email@example.com to let us know you can help.
Additional Port Townsend Main Street beautification and maintenance projects include year-round maintenance of the Tyler Street portolettes, bird abatement, Adams Street Park, rain garden maintenance, and streetscape design-related projects.
Look for additional Main Street tables and chairs this spring on Taylor Street and along Water Street. If your business is interested in partnering with the Port Townsend Main Street Program to purchase additional streetscape furniture, please contact our office.
